It’s time to invest in teachers. Research shows that it’s quality teaching practices more than anything else that leads to the greatest improvements in students’ learning. Teachers teach content area standards and critical thinking skills while also making education equitable by helping all students achieve. It’s a lot, especially for teachers whose students are also learning how to read and write. In order for teachers to be their best, they need our support.

As a reading and science specialist, I have a B.S. Ed degree in Chemistry Education, a M.S. Ed. degree in Reading and Learning Disabilities, and ten years of experience teaching in the classroom.
