Educational Services

It’s time to invest in teachers. Research shows that it’s quality teaching practices more than anything that leads to the greatest improvements in student learning. Teachers teach content area standards and critical thinking skills while also making education equitable by helping all students achieve. It’s a lot, especially for teachers whose students are also learning how to read and write. In order for teachers to be their best, they need our support.

As a reading and science specialist, I have a bachelor’s degree in chemistry education, a master’s degree in reading and learning disabilities, and five years of experience teaching both science and reading. As a coach and certified teacher, I know how important it is to have teachers identify their own professional development goals and to support those changes little by little.

Literacy and Science Consulting

  • Four 1-Hour In-Person or Zoom Sessions ($275): Recommended for a cohort of teachers and/or administrators.

  • Session 1: Teachers complete a survey and choose a focus area. A guided discussion helps to set one measurable goal, explore solutions, share research, and form mini-groups with similar goals

  • Session 2: Teachers review their progress, adjust strategies, and analyze assessments to find ways to help all students achieve academically

  • Session 3: Continue with questions, sharing insights, and problem-solving

  • Session 4: Complete an exit survey and discuss next steps. Teachers collaborate to refine strategies and reflect on what’s working and what could be improved
